Requirements
This program follows an open admission policy and does not require specific academic prerequisites. Applicants are expected to possess basic literacy, numeracy, and computer skills sufficient to participate in course activities. Curriculum
Chapter 1: The Importance of Brand
Students will become familiar with the key components of brand identity, how to create a unique selling proposition (USP), and why a USP is so important.
Chapter 2: Audience and Reach
Students will examine audience demographics and how there are different kinds of reach for different kinds of audiences. Students will compare and contrast online and offline marketing.
Chapter 3: Goals and Analytics
Students will examine the importance of goals and how to set S.M.A.R.T goals. Students will be introduced to CRM and analytics.
Chapter 4: Domain Names
Students will learn about choosing memorable domain names for domain marketing, as well as the challenge and strategy behind URLs.
Chapter 5: Keyword Research
Students will write engaging web copy, including the use of keywords. Students will learn how keywords apply to Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC).
Chapter 6: Online Marketing
Students will be able to distinguish between various social media channels, and how they are utilized for marketing purposes. Students will be able to compare and contrast permission and interruption marketing.
Chapter 7: Email Marketing
Students will become familiar with the email marketing composition process and the management of and privacy required for email lists. Students will examine analytics and
metrics integral to email marketing platforms.
Chapter 8: Budgeting
Students will be able to differentiate between budgeting objectives and realities. Students will gain an understanding of the key categories of a marketing budget.
