This program follows an open admission policy and does not require specific academic prerequisites. Applicants are expected to possess basic literacy, numeracy, and computer skills sufficient to participate in course activities. Chapter 1: Big Data and Analytics

Students learn the fundamentals of big data and explore the relationship between data science and digital marketing.

Students learn about key performance indicators and examine the principles of creating strong, data-driven goals for their digital marketing work.

 

Students explore the customer’s journey and learn about customer personas and segmentation. They gain hands-on experience with customer research tools and build their own customer persona profiles.

 

Students explore a number of dashboards and consider the importance of well-organized data. They gain hands-on experience with a number of key analytics dashboards.

Students learn strategies for data management and consider some key tools for managing data. They also explore the legal and ethical issues raised by data management.

Students learn about tools and strategies for interpreting data. They learn about the process of conversion optimization, and best practices for isolating KPIs.

Students learn about the importance reporting and explore several key tools for developing strong, data-driven reports. They gain hands-on experience developing effective action plans.
